CUBE: German Championship titles 2025 & Enduro podium

Sometimes, cycling writes stories that stay with you. Stories of blazing heat, brutal trails – and of people who rise above themselves with courage, endurance and sheer passion. This weekend was one of those. A German champion on CUBE bikes, a strong development team with international bite, and a female Enduro rider who conquered the Alps – all in just a few days.
Georg Zimmermann wins the German Road Race Championship 2025 in Linden
198 kilometers, 3,330 meters of elevation, temperatures over 30 degrees – those were the conditions on June 29, 2025, at the German Road Championship in Linden. And right in the middle of it: Georg Zimmermann, 27 years old, pro rider for Intermarché-Wanty Team – and now German Champion.

Zimmermann delivered a tactically smart, powerful race on a demanding course. With a decisive attack, he secured his first national title – a historic moment in his career.
His triumph places him among the great German road cyclists. At the Tour de France starting on July 5, he will proudly wear the champion’s jersey – a visible symbol of his success and hard work.
The road to that title was no coincidence: After a strong spring and his stage win at the Giro d’Abruzzo, this championship is the next big step. A well-earned reward for a rider who never stops developing.
U23 Time Trial Title for Mewael Girmay and Elite Win for Imamura
Zimmermann wasn’t the only one making headlines over the weekend – the development scene also saw clear successes. Mewael Girmay, brother of WorldTour pro Biniam Girmay, took the U23 Time Trial title in Eritrea.
In Japan, Shunsuke Imamura won the Elite National Time Trial Championship – a major success in a country with a growing cycling culture.

Both athletes are part of the Wanty-NIPPO-ReUz Development Team, which now boasts two new national champion jerseys – once again showing the strength of their youth program.
Simona Kuchynkova takes 3rd place at the Enduro World Cup in Canazei

While the German Road Championship was being decided, the next World Cup race was underway in the Dolomites. At the Enduro World Cup in Canazei (Italy), Simona Kuchynkova secured a strong 3rd place – despite high temperatures, dusty trail conditions, and technically demanding stages.
Riding her CUBE Stereo ONE55, the young Slovakian once again demonstrated her season-long consistency. Just recently, she had already claimed the Slovak National Downhill Championship.
Two disciplines, two podiums – a clear sign of her versatility and form.

Zakarias Johansen finishes 12th at the Enduro World Cup in Italy

Zakarias Johansen also impressed at the Enduro World Cup in Canazei, delivering a consistent and technically clean race. The trails around the alpine village in the Dolomites pushed riders to the limit: tight corners, loose rocks, steep descents, and long transfer stages – combined with heat and minimal recovery time.
Johansen handled the six stages with composure and control, finishing 12th in the day’s standings. Even without a podium spot, the result proves his reliability in one of the world’s toughest racing series.
In the overall 2025 Enduro World Cup standings, he continues to hold a strong 7th place. Together with his teammates, he also defends 2nd place in the team ranking – a testament to the unity and depth of the entire CUBE Gravity Team.
CUBE Racing with Top Results at Road and Enduro Championships
What remains from this weekend? More than podiums. It’s the quiet moments before the start, the last ounces of energy on the final kilometers, the upright posture at the finish – exhausted, proud, relieved. It’s the experience of pushing through when the body protests, and continuing when the outcome is still uncertain.
Cycling is not a game you simply win. It’s daily training, understanding your equipment and the course, trusting your team – and the will to go all-in on a single day.
Whether on asphalt or loose gravel, with a race number on your back or mud on your face – this sport lives through people who ride with conviction. And that’s exactly what was felt this weekend: authenticity, passion, and the willingness to push boundaries.
