Kickstands

A stand is a prerequisite for safely parking a bike during a break. Leaning against the stand in the traditional way often leads to scratches or - if the bike falls over - to damage to the frame and components. Developments in this area ensure that the current generation of stands are no longer a visual drawback. The slim, discreet and unobtrusive designs and the use of aluminium as a material turn the formerly clunky stands into a thoroughly chic and elegant helper. It doesn't matter whether the bike has to be parked for just five minutes for a short errand or whether lunch is on the agenda for an extended weekend tour: a stand always ensures a secure stand, even with a load or a lot of luggage. It is important to know that it is not possible to mount a stand on two types of bikes. On Fully bikes, the bobbing rear triangle prevents such a stand from being fitted. With carbon bikes, the use of aluminium or metal attachments is not recommended. Apart from these two exceptions, there is a suitable stand for almost every bike!

Many options

Different bikes also need different stands. The length and load capacity, the material and the stand can be different. The type of mounting is also decisive and is usually dictated by the design. From the universal side stand, to the centre mount, to the adjustable rear stand, there are a variety of different models to choose from. Some custom-made models, such as for the sporty Cube Hyde / Editor bikes or the Ghost Square series, are a useful addition to the large range. Adapter plates also allow the use of a stand that is not actually suitable for holding the bike. Suitable parts are also available for children's bikes. A stand is especially useful for these bikes, as kids tend to lean on the bike when they are in a hurry. The latest production techniques in the casting of aluminium parts also ensure that the latest stands are surprisingly light. With an average weight of approx. 350-400 grams, they can carry a load of up to 25 kilograms.

Cube range

Cube has a variety of stands in its range that cater for every type of bike, except for the exceptions mentioned above. For mountain bikes, there is a stable aluminium stand in discreet black that serves bikes in the 26 to 29 inch format. Cube also provides the right stand for cross and trekking bikes with 28 inch tyres. Both types are also available in a Pro version, which was specially developed for the greater load of e-bikes. For all children's bikes from 16" to 24", Cube provides a useful addition with the Kids stand. This sturdy stand made of aluminium is uncomplicated to use and weighs only approx. 300 grams. The extremely versatile universal stand fits all formats from 24" to 29". A special offer from the MHW Bike House is the chic Hebie rear stand including the Cube adapter plate. This is suitable for the SUV Hybrid Race, Hyde Race and Editor models, which would otherwise not allow a stand due to their design.

Ghost, Altran and Scott

For all non-Cube bikes, the manufacturers - in this case Scott and Ghost - offer their own suitable stands. Scott probably has the most versatile stand in its range with the Easy Adjust. It fits all models from 26" to 29". The uncomplicated height adjustment and assembly make this accessory a successful universal solution. Ghost offers its customers a suitable stand for mountain bikes in the 26" to 29" format, as well as trekking and cross bikes. For all Square series bikes that require a special mount, we offer the custom-made rear stand 661 Fix 40. For bikes that require a centre mount stand, we offer the tried and tested Altran Velo. Weighing only 330 grams, this aluminium stand fits all bikes from 24" to 28".
